Experience
After spending many years teaching, I still believe this profession is the perfect one for me. Not only is teaching something that gives me a huge amount of satisfaction, but it also has given me incredible opportunities to travel the world. I have taught in rural communities, Japanese immersion schools, and in Germany. In the near future, I am scheduled to teach at a Spanish immersion school. My positive attitude translates to a stress-free, amiable learning atmosphere for my students, as I genuinely want to give my students the knowledge and tools they require to achieve the academic goals that will give them a high quality of life in their future. I studied at Oregon State University and the University of Willamette. In terms of teaching experience, I have spent the last four years teaching in a classroom setting for third and fourth grade students. During my time as a teacher, I have become increasingly efficient at tutoring Writing, Reading Comprehension, and Math. I can help students prepare for the ISEE and the SSAT, and I also have experience teaching students with disabilities and TAG students. In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, hiking, camping, and cooking.
